ADULT DAY CENTER
The Adult Day Center at MemoryLane Care Services provides structured, person-centered, and therapeutic activities to adults experiencing cognitive impairment related to chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. Our professional staff members deliver services in a safe and caring environment.
We design our services to meet the needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia while supporting the person’s strengths, abilities, and independence. Our services include:
We provide families a respite break from the day-to-day responsibilities of caregiving, an opportunity to take care of their own needs, and—for some caregivers—the ability to remain employed knowing their family member will be well cared for at the center.
Monday – Friday:
7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
We offer Adult Day Center services on a cost share model. Operating costs are subsidized by support from the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, Inc, the Lucas County Senior Services Levy, and the Monroe County (Michigan) Commission on Aging. Additional financial assistance may be available for those who are eligible for Ohio’s PASSPORT program, MyCare Ohio Program, and for those who qualify for benefits from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Some long-term care insurance covers the cost of adult day services.
As the Adult Day Center name implies, ours is a daylong service rather than a housing option. Families wishing to use the Adult Day Center can choose a schedule that best accommodates their needs—from daily visits to a few days a week.
“If it was not for the Day Center, I could not keep Mom home with me. I’m her only caregiver, and The Center allows me some much-needed respite during the day.”
We truly appreciate the Day Center’s caring staff. Everyone is so kind and compassionate, and they treat Mom like family. They keep her comfortable, happy, and engaged while she’s there. We love the Day Center!
